Therme Bucuresti: How to Relax on your Bucharest Trip!

The Bucharest Therme is a true oasis of relaxation and entertainment, located just 30 minutes from the city center. With over 37,000 m² of pools, saunas, and wellness areas, it offers a unique experience that caters to both families with children and those seeking an exclusive, rejuvenating environment.

From the tropical atmosphere of The Palm to the aquatic adventure of Galaxy, and the refined saunas of Elysium, this is the perfect spot to unwind and take a break from everyday life.

We only spent half a day until closing, but it’s worth spending the entire day here as the complex is vast. Due to the high number of visitors, there are times when you may need to wait to access saunas or get familiar with the location. There is also a dedicated area for children and families, a restaurant section, and an outdoor area.

Choose your Zone

Therme Bucuresti is divided into three main areas: Galaxy: ideal for families, featuring a large indoor pool, slides, hydromassage beds, a Feng Shui park, and a restaurant. Children of all ages can access this area. The entry fee starts at 104 RON (around €21).

The Palm: a tropical area with indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi, saunas, Turkish baths, and relaxation beds. The minimum age for entry is 14. This section also has a summer beach with white sand, offering a Caribbean-like atmosphere all year round. Entry costs around 141 RON (about €29).

Elysium: a wellness area with themed saunas such as the Himalayan salt sauna and the cinema sauna, pools, and a fusion restaurant. The ticket for this zone, which includes access to all areas, starts at 167 RON (about €34). One of the coolest aspects is that the main pool features bars where you can buy drinks directly from the water.

Therme by Night

In the evening, the Therme becomes magical with all its lights. We reached the location using one of the local buses, but on the way back, we ordered a Bolt. There are also plenty of taxis available. This amazing location is about 30 minutes away from Bucharest’s center. For 4.5 hours, I spent roughly around €50. However, prices can vary depending on the area and the day of the week.

“Relax is not a luxury, but a necessity to restore balance and recharge both mind and body”
