Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 22, 2025
Welcome to The Voyage Bliss. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you browse this site. Your privacy matters — and we are committed to transparency and respect.
1. Who We Are
Website address: https://thevoyagebliss.com
This is a personal travel blog sharing stories, photos, tips, and experiences across Europe and beyond.
2. Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with the IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
If you use Gravatar, an anonymized string (hash) from your email may be provided to the Gravatar service. Their privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After comment approval, your profile picture becomes visible to the public.
3. Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
4. Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience — so you don’t have to fill them in again next time. These cookies last one year.
If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, several cookies are set to save your login info and screen preferences.
Login cookies last two days (or two weeks if you choose “Remember Me”).
Screen preference cookies last one year.
When you log out, login cookies are removed.
If you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie is saved, containing the post ID. It expires after one day.
5. Embedded Content
Articles may include embedded content (e.g., videos, Instagram posts, maps). Embedded content from other websites behaves just as if you visited those sites directly.
These websites may collect data, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interactions — especially if you’re logged into that external site.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
Comments and their metadata are stored indefinitely to recognize and auto-approve future comments.
If users register (e.g., contributors), we store personal info in their profile. Users can view, edit, or delete their data anytime (except username). Admins can also edit this info.
8. Your Rights Over Your Data
You can request an exported file of your personal data stored on this site.
You can also request we delete any personal data — except what we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
To request this, please contact: info@thevoyagebliss.com
9. Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through automated spam detection services (e.g., Akismet).
